Roasted Brussels Sprouts


1-1.5 lbs of Brussels Sprouts, ends trimmed off and sliced in half

2-3 Tbsp olive oil

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp salt (or Mrs. Dash Salt-Free seasoning)

1 tsp garlic powder



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Place trimmed Brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt (or Mrs. Dash), and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well with large spatula or hand to coat. Spread out onto a nonstick baking sheet, and place on center oven rack. (Optional: on cooking sheet, place layer of tin foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray and place Brussels sprouts on top to make for easier cleaning).
  3. Roast in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes. Shake pan every 10 minutes for even browning. Brussels sprouts should be dark brown and crispy when done.
