1 large ripe banana, frozen
1-2 cups fresh raw spinach
1 Tbsp creamy almond butter
2-3 drops (or up to ¼ tsp) peppermint extract
¼ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
few additional ice cubes
Optional: Top with raw cacao or dark chocolate chips
1. Place all ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth. Make sure you use a frozen banana - makes for a much creamier shake consistency! Top your smoothie with a sprinkle of raw cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips! To boost the protein, feel free to add in a scoop of vanilla plant-based protein powder. Enjoy!
