Chipotle Turkey Burgers with Peach Salsa

Chipotle Burgers Peach Salsa

Ingredients: 

Makes 5 Burgers

1.25 lb lean ground turkey (>93%) 

3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely diced (see photo below)

2 Tbsp onion, diced 

1-2 cloves garlic, minced 

1/2 Tbsp cilantro, finely diced

1/2 Tbsp chili powder 

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

Topping: large spoonful of Peach Salsa and sliced avocado

This is what you’ll be looking for at the grocery store. There are a few different brands to choose from. Will remove peppers from can and finely dice them before adding to burger mixture.

Directions:

1. In medium bowl, mix together all of the above ingredients until well-combined. Form patties. If you want an extra spicy burger, add more chipotle and chili powder. 

2. Preheat skillet with olive oil on medium-high heat (or prepare on a grill). Cook about 4 minutes each side until no longer pink. Serve on a whole grain bun and top with a large spoonful of freshly made peach salsa and sliced avocado. Serve with a side of tortilla chips or baked sweet potato fries
